JLR Safety Services, LLC Wins Prestigious State Contracts
Three SCC Regions - Paterson, Hudson/Middlesex County and Monmouth County
JLR Safety Services is a small business joint venture between Pryme Safety Services, Creative Risk Services and LCM Consulting Services.
JLR Safety Services is pleased to announce that the State of New Jersey has awarded the company a contract to provide construction safety services for the NJ Schools Construction Corporation (SCC), which is a subsidiary of the NJ Economic Development Authority (EDA).
 The program is the result of a NJ Supreme Court decision rendered in 1998 that makes the EDA responsible for a comprehensive program of design, renovation and new construction of primary and secondary schools in disadvantaged school districts known as Abbott Districts.
The EDA divided the state into nine Regions. JLR was awarded three of the the nine Regions, including Paterson, Hudson/Middlesex County and Monmouth County.
JLR Safety Services will be making regular monthly safety inspections of each job site along with follow-up inspections when violations are discovered. JLR will also perform job site accident investigations for incidents where a worker is hospitalized. In addition, JLR will advise and help general contractors with site-specific safety plans, review the site safety inspections done by the General Contractor’s site safety officer, review safety violation remediation efforts and planning for special situations such as critical lifts.
The school construction projects have begun and JLR anticipates working on the 105 projects over the length of the multi-year contract.
